Concrete Etch

GKCE760

Prepare concrete surfaces for new coatings of paint or stain with Klean-Strip Concrete Etch. During use, protect your hands and eyes with chemical-resistant gloves and chemical splash goggles. Before use, ensure concrete is clean and bare of sealers or coatings. Dilute 32 fluid ounces per gallon of water in a plastic watering can with a sprinkling head or plastic pump-up sprayer. Add acid slowly to water and gently stir with a non-metallic utensil. Apply dilution evenly at a rate of 300 square feet per gallon. Do not pour onto one spot and brush out over surface. Product should begin foaming as it reacts with concrete. If no foaming occurs, concrete is sealed, and sealer must first be removed using Klean-Strip Concrete Stripper (sold separately). Let stand for at least 10 minutes and do not allow Etch to dry on the surface. Thoroughly rinse treated surface 3 times with plenty of clean water, scrubbing lightly with a nylon broom to remove any residue. Allow surface to dry before coating with paint or stain.
